Clyde C. Farris was born in Houston, Texas on May 24, 1943. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University in 1966, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Washington University School of Law in 1973. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. In addition, Mr. Farris has litigated cases in the United States District Court of the Northern District of Indiana and in the circuit courts of Illinois. He represents the Westfield Corporation in Missouri, and represents numerous shopping centers. Mr. Farris has been lead counsel in many jury and non-jury trials, and has litigated many commercial business disputes, personal injury and domestic relations cases.
Mr. Farris is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the American Bar Association, and The Missouri Bar. Mr. Farris resides in Kirkwood, Missouri where he has served as past President of the Rotary Club of Kirkwood and on the Kirkwood Tax Increment Financing Commission. In 1989, the Supreme Court of Missouri appointed Mr. Farris to the Missouri Supreme Court Civil Rules Committee where he continues to serve. In 2002 through 2006, Mr. Farris served as one of the three Democratic commissioners on the State of Missouri Ethics Commission which enforces Missouri statutes regarding conflict of interest for public officials, lobbying and campaign finance and disclosure.
